The Chickens
We have kept chickens for several years and when we moved to France it was something that we were very keen to continue. If you have ever been fortunate enough to have a freshly laid egg for brekkie- be it from your own or a friend’s flock, then you will understand why!
There are two things we love about keeping chickens. The first is of course the colour and taste of a home laid, free range egg, something that we believe shop bought eggs just can’t compete with. The second is the inquisitive nature of our birds and the funny antics they get up to, which make for amusing viewing on a lazy sunny morning. These simple little joys are something that we really want to share here at Le Monteil Revolution.
All of our guests have access to freshly laid eggs, all you need to do is peek inside the coop and collect your goodies. The best part is, there’s no need to worry about anything else as we’ll do all the rest!
You will often see our birds roaming freely around the yard and land, and that is because we strongly believe that natural is best. This means that as well as having access to natural seeds and grains (supplied by us) they are also able to pick up greens and berries from their surroundings.
